I bought these to wear during the winter since they are leather and have a rubber bottom. The wide is a great fit for my foot, and these shoes are incredibly lightweight. The only knock i give them is the toe is longer than it appears in the picture, so the toe has a slight cowboy boot look when worn with jeans (which isn’t the look I was going for). Other than that, thumbs up.

Given some of the reviews, I bought both my husband’s normal size and the next 1/2 size up. I did not get any wide as he has a normal foot width. He ended up keeping his normal size, but he did say the 1/2 size up was not horribly large, just slightly too roomy. So I think it depends on your foot size. If you’re between normal and wide widths, consider normal width with 1/2 size up. Having said that, he loved the padding, loved the look, and more importantly, loved that the sole looked “normal” – durable and not plastic-like. It has a nice padded upper that is comfortable and doesn’t feel restrictive, and it has a nice gel pad in the liner. My husband hasn’t worn them out yet, but he said they were comfortable right out of the box.

Purchased these size 13 wide for my husband who usually wears a size 13 regular but had broken toes and is on the mend. The boots are beautiful. He says extremely comfortable. I purchased this and another different pair and he absolutely loves them both, He works standing up sometimes in a suit and other times more casual. Shopping on this site was wonderful. My only complaint is that immediately after I place the order I realized I forgot to get expedited shipping. I tried to correct it but there was no way to change it, I left a message with customer service and they never called back. But I am very happy with the purchase
